Depends on the switch. If there are 5 screws on the switch, then you have more than one switch telling the machine what to do. IIRC, you have one for each: high water level, low water level, spin relay, door relay and overflow safety. Without info from the manufacturer, playing with each screw can really "screw" the machine up.
