Hi Tom, Good luck on the new find! I really wouldn't recommend laying a GE on its side, because of the stress it puts on the transmission boot in the outer tub. It's probably best to transport the machine upright; does your friend have a pickup? --Austin | ||

On the side is fine
Austin is right but if its not a far distance it shouldn't be too bad - i brought both of my GE's home on their sides in my mothers SUV and the boots were fine. Good Luck with it! I just brought home a similar model withthe mini basket from the ebay auction - its not in such good shape though... Please post pics soon, thanks! Matt | ||
