Oh great ! I went running around with a friend today. We ended up going into the habitat store. There was an Avacado Green G.E. filter flo with the mini basket and filter flo pan in it. They only had $35 on it. Of course the rest of the day all I could talk about was the AVACADO GREEN FILTER FLO WITH THE MINI BASKET!!

I am going back in on Monday. I think if they will load it for me, I can get it unloaded.

LQQK -----------------> Will it be ok to lay this machine on its side ????

Glad I have the rest of the weekend to think on this.

I am guessing it would be a 70's something model, being Avacado ? It is the shaded avacado. dark on the corners and light in the big areas.

MATT (GEExtrarinse) & Steve (Toggleswitch) I am gonna blame you for this filter flo mania I am experiencing!

I am so brilliant....I had the camera in the car.....did I think to take a pic ? NO ! gosh darhlnent!

Hi Tom,

Good luck on the new find! I really wouldn't recommend laying a GE on its side, because of the stress it puts on the transmission boot in the outer tub. It's probably best to transport the machine upright; does your friend have a pickup?

Austin is right but if its not a far distance it shouldn't be too bad - i brought both of my GE's home on their sides in my mothers SUV and the boots were fine. Good Luck with it!

I just brought home a similar model withthe mini basket from the ebay auction - its not in such good shape though...

Please post pics soon, thanks!
Matt

Bittersweet

I went by the Restore Store today after work. They were closed yesterday. I held my breath until I got in the building.....yes it was still there! But then I got over to it, and there was a piece of orange tape on it. SOLD. I am not getting to play with a washer tonight. BUT, on the bright side.... I don't have any pulled muscles to doctor either. Maybe next time.....

Anyhoo- I'm used to getting blamed when not involved. LOL

A better washer will come along. I promise you that.
