could u use this at home as it looks like it has no coin slot just a dial for washing

Pete,

You could certainly use this machine at home. The knob you see on the control box is the knob for the timer which replaced the coin slide or coin drop option if you didnt order them. I believe that these have only two options. Water temp: Hot, Warm, and Cold. I think that's the top rotary knob on the left, and the bottom one should be wash/spin speed. HI or LO. We had 2 of these machines when I worked at Penney's they used in the beauty salon, and they were going 16 hours a day. They served us well. That was about 20 years ago now and I understand that they just got new Kenmores. So for what they are asking is a good price in my book if you are looking to buy them.

These machines look like they're just for on-site laundry where a rock-solid machine is needed, e.g. food service, hospitals, clinics, hotels, etc....., yet they can be used in nearly any home laundry setting. The cool thing from what I've heard about these machines is that they are about the easiest in the world to refurbish. Good luck.
