My Speed Queen top loader did the same thing but it eventually went away. |

Mine too. But in time it went away and all I hear now is the slosh of water moving through the clothes! |

However I made sure it was level front-back side-side. In fact, I had to do it myself after the appliance delivery guys went their way. |

I bought my mother the same Speed Queen washer. The one that I bought for her the tub is stable but mine the tub leans forward when it starts to wash and makes some grinding noise.I was told that it was the springs but my washer is just out of warranty I have been trying to get in touch with Speed Queen not had any luck. I still love my washer.I also noticed that there is a small dent in the front of the washer from the inside out.

Forward tub leaning during agitation is entirely normal and expected. Read the troubleshooting chart toward the back of your owner's manual. The grinding sound is likely unrelated. |

I see it on half the models. During the wash the tub will lean into the front Styrofoam pad and will some times squeak as a result. I have no idea why but I see it on other machines also. I would guess that's where your cabinet dent came from. Im guessing perhaps the back counterweight isn't even, motors might be heavier between makes/ stretched out springs? No idea but IMO I cant see why the machine would need to lean, even for heavily loads.
My current model leans forward on a tub full of water. Its been like that since the first load. So far no issues from that but it makes me wonder why. |
