Hello all, i came across this forum while on my hunt for identifying a washing machine door. It was used in a movie so all i have are pictures of it. I was hoping the experts and enthusiasts here might be able to ID it for me :)

I can provide a few additional angles if need be. I appreciate Ny and all help. Thanks guys!

Hi Flux and welcome, that is from a Sears Kenmore Combination Washer-Dryer from the 1960's or early 70's. See this thread...

Interesting that this has come up..........

Back in Sept 2012 someone else posed the same question and got the same speedy results!   However rather than idle curiosity about it, he planned to recreate the "Explorers Spaceship" from the movie.

We've stayed in contact and I acquired a 1965 Lady K combo back in November.   Being it needs some TLC to be completely functional again and it's not very high on the priority list, I allowed him to borrow the door so he could recreate it.

I got an update a few weeks ago and the project is coming along slowly, but nicely.

Kevin

Funny indeed.
He happens to be someone i am working on this project with. I was just following his tracks i guess. I guess using the search function might have worked in this case but i wouldn't have thought. Still, thank you guys again for double answering the question though.
