Inglis, or Whirlpool clones.

Many Canadian-made Inglis, Whirlpool and Kenmore machines had different cabinets. Look at the lower part. In the US, Whirlpool used similar cabinets in 1961 but not after. This is a 1980s set.  Note the side-opening lid, that's not very common on Inglis machines, usually that's a Kenmore feature. I have a friend who has a very similar set of Whirlpools (also Canadian-made).

PhilR -again, amazing that you can readily sort and identify these by cabinets and year...thanks for identifying.

Are these belt drives or direct drives?

The washer looks like its a belt drive model, as it appears to be the same width as the dryer (29"), and the lid is smaller in comparison to the top as a whole.

Those machines look like a mix of earlier Whirlpool cabinets ('57-'60 in U.S.) with a mid 70's and later Kenmore lid, and unique control panels.
