Post a wish list of  appliances with images if possible. Not appliances you have already, but the ones you have been searching for and so far not found. From Washers to toasters. You never know, someone might see what you are looking for and give you a heads up! Have fun!

No images, but here's my list:

A frame for a GE Princess 24 inch dishwasher (1957-1960)

A Late 50s Kenmore Roto-Rack top-load portable dishwasher

A 1958 Pink Dominion dryer (to match the busted washer)

A late 50s or early 60s Westinghouse roll-out dishwasher

the elusive 1960 GE 24-inch pull-out dishwasher (with the 4 cycle buttons)

An early Unimatic washer W0-65 or similar (with dryer even better!)

A Moffat top-load dishwasher from the late 50s (would actually have been a D&M)

A Crocker-Wheeler Toast-o-lator

A Sunbeam C50 vacuum coffee pot

That's about all I'd have room for... LOL

Eric,
If I had the stove that you posted in that pic I know I'd be beside myself. That unit looks amazing.

I know that while cooking on that I'd have a spatula or spoon in one hand and a hot wet dish rag in the other ready to wipe any splatter the second it lands on the stove. lol

Once More, With Feeling:

danemodsandy's profile picture
This is the last item on my wish list - I have the range I wanted (a 1972 GE J 370), the dishwasher I wanted (a 1966 KitchenAid KDS-55) and the laundry pair I wanted (a 1968 pair of A806 washer and DE806 dryer).

That leaves only a refrigerator, and yes, I'm still wanting an Amana from the '70s. I am looking only for one in White - no colors need apply. And I'm looking for the earlier in this series, the better. The photo below shows the model I'm looking for - but in the wrong color.

Note the presence of the fancy little embossed anodized or stainless strips at the bottom of the freezer door and the top of the fridge door. That is the version that warms my flinty little heart the mostest. Later Amanas have either Ye Olde Fayke Woode Graine strips, or none at all on the latest models to use this style handle. A close-up of the desired trim is in the next post. I do not know the exact years on this version, but Mary Tyler Moore had one of these Amanas in Coppertone in her second, high-rise apartment, first seen in 1975.

Here's one --- and mine will probably make you laugh or snarl a little bit...

There is still a small assortment of Kenmore models that I would really like to find. One of those is a machine that I know to exist, but I'm not sure I have ever seen one, if I did it would have been back in 1982. I have posted a picture, borrowed from Nick / WhirlyKenmore78 to help illustrate (see below).

Nick's washer is a 1981 Kenmore 100 series machine in a 24-inch cabinet. While I would love one of these, what would cause a "Great Googly Moogly" moment for me would be its 29-inch clone, which is a 1982 model. So, look at the pic, and imagine the same console and cabinet just widened, then you know what is on the top of my wish list. This machine was offered in 1982 and 1983. Being BOL, Sears may have had them on the floor or available for special order, but I'd bet they tried to steer most buyers away from them.

There were two other versions of this since the mid-1970s. First was a 1976 100 series, same single cycle, same plastic panel, just a tad different graphics, no cold wash. This was a large capacity, Penta-Vane model. If you get the 1978 Kenmore washer lineup emphemera document, you'll see a picture/drawing of the machine.

The other was a 1980 100 series, in a standard capacity configuration. Same machine again, just a standard tub with a straight vane agitator. They had very slightly revised graphics again, but same overall appearance. This machine and Nick's probably make the most sense to own as the tubs aren't so gargantuan to fill without an adjustable water level selector switch.

Any of those three, but especially the 1982 version, would be at the top of my wish list.

Gordon

60's Custom Imperial Dishwasher like the one posted by Jetaction above. For the longest time I wanted the KDS-15 which I now have. Second in line was this Frigidaire dishwasher.

I'd also like a hotpoint front loading Impeller machine from the 50s with the separate roll out racks. There was stainless one posted for sale not long ago but was too far away. Seems like they are alwasy too far away :(!

Except I do have to say the KDS-15 was far away and the seller agreed to deliver it so I can always hope!!

The above-shown avocado Maytags

appnut's profile picture
Maria, those are actually between 1975 (when the gold/sun sunburst control panel style) came out through about 1980 with the end of the center-dial 'Tags. The washer is an A408 (Fabric-Matic) 1-speed model and the dryer is a D408--2 temperature with auto dry control, but not electronic control dry. A very respectable middle of the line (MOL) pair. I'll keep an eye out on Craigslist from San Antonio to Waco for you.

JUST A COUPLE OF THINGS.....

I definitely would love to have a pair of Maytags from 58-63
in Turquoise or Yellow.

HOWEVER, I would be more than happy (as one of the other guys did)
if I could get the Tops for a '61 A700S & DE700 in Turquoise or
Yellow, and then I could put them on my white Pair, and paint the
bodies to match.

A Frogeye Washer & Dryer would be cool. I almost got
a washer once, but the owner took greater pleasure in throwing it out :(

A Lady Kenmore 1959 Washer & Dryer in Turquoise or Yellow.

One of the Washstands, with Sink & Built-in Dishwasher; Kaiser, GE,
Hotpoint etc.

Of Course a Wonder Kitchen in Turquoise or Yellow.

A Vintage Kitchen Sink Disposal.

WOW, My list is longer than I thought it would be / LOL.

It is a "Wish" List, if any of it comes to be, Great, if not,
I know I'm blessed for what I have already gotten :)

May Everyones Wishes Come True :)
