Around 1960-61. I have one in Woodtone Brown.

Can anyone tell me if this wall oven was the TOL when it was new? The presence of the electric meat thermometer feature would seem to militate for that, but the lack of a window on the lower oven's door makes me hesitate just a bit. Could be that they just didn't see a need for that yet, or it could have been a feature confined to true TOL models. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks!

This is typical for this model since the upper oven's window was at eye level. It could be ordered with no windows or one in the upper oven. I guess it could be ordered with two windows, but I have never seen that.

You're making it sound almost as if GE was running an "options list," instead of making separate models for different feature sets the way they did later.

Was that the case, or did the windowless and one-window version carry separate model numbers?

I just saw builders' sheets where the buyer could specify what they wanted. I don't know about model nos. Sorry.

By 1964, the Custom or TOL double ovens with the Dinner Dial controls had windows in both doors while the Deluxe double ovens with regular controls only had a window in the upper door.
