If it was blue or yellow, surfertee wants a 40" stove with griddle - did these Caloric's come in those colors, for that matter?

What a beauty!

You know, I was not a fan of coppertone, but lately I've been warming up to it.

SO gorgeous ...

Ugh. I was born 20 years too late. I hate today's crap. Either you get bottom of the line stripped down bare minimum, or you have to go high-end with "professional" features most home cooks will never use.

As opposed to these old units with features nearly everybody loved and used, including that back-panel lighting, extra electric outlets, and appliance timers.

We don't even get half-decent color options, either. White. Or Stainless. Boring.

Coppertone is probably my least favorite, but for some reason it doesn't seem so bad on a stove.  Give the choice of the same stove in coppertone or avocado, I'd pick coppertone.

Question about Caloric's "OVEN READY" light: since these ranges had the cycling burners to be able to provide the low 140F holding temp, did the light go out when the burner cycled on or did it light up when the oven first reached the set temperature and just stay lit until the oven was turned off or the temperature was reset for a higher one like for biscuits after everything else was cooked?

Thank you.

These beautiful stoves came in coppertone, white, turquoise, yellow, pink and , best of all, black! They were discontinued before harvest gold and avocado would have been used.

Black would be a wicked color for a realy high end range, especially this one. Friends had this in white with the Ultra Ray broiler next to the oven.

Need Gas Control Valve for Caloric

Anyone know where I could get a replacement Gas Control Valve for my coppertone Caloric Gas Stove--
(pictured here). Not sure the year--but it is this exact one--I believe the Serial Number is W54UQRX?
Everything works well and is in great shape--except for the oven--I was told it needed the gas control valve replaced...Help!
