Not to worry.. There will always be a Filter Flo in this house

Thank you all for your words.. In my Journeys of using many different washing machines since I was 8 years old it did sadden me to let those machines go. My garage was filled with washers mainly Kenmore 90's model direct drive. I was overwhelmed! I have had 6 filter flo's in that I have given less fortunate neighbors on my street with the condition they are well taken care of. One lives right next door to me which I can hear running in the summer because of my neighbors laundry room window is close to my yard and it make me happy. All machines are still working according to my neighbors. And of course I use my daily driver filter flo as well she runs great! Thanks again Happy washing!! and of course I am always looking for another filter flo which I will find with no holes in the outer tub! I am on the search for a Norge, Ward,or Magic Chef 1970-80 model gotta try one of those next yeah! My best friends mom had a late 70's Norge washer and dryer set. I used to LOVE to listen burpilator go on the basement steps in 1982. Funny she always used the delicate cycle for my best friends school uniforms? That washer did not last long and she upgraded to a Hotpoint set in 1986 lasted her 20 years and now she has a whirlpool set.

Checkrate/Likes I also agree great pic of you and your filter-flo, great profile pic too. I'm a Filter-Flo fan here also, grew up with my grams 1966 Filter-Flo set until I was 15 in 2001. The coin-op sets she had were around a few years longer. Would love to see more of your Filter-Flo

Checkrate/Likes *Filter Flo Washer* My first washer and dryer were GE as well. Bought the washer for $90. from a lady that was selling her houshold because she became a nursing home resident. Went to an appliance dealership to see if they had any used dryers received from trade-in and they had one that had the motor replaced and said I could have it for $75. They formed a matched set! a two speed, two cycle washer and a dryer with an automatic drying cycle. The washer had the straight vane agitator and matching aqua filter pan. The filter pan holes were plugged with mineral deposits and I poked them all clean with a toothpick. The only repair I had to make was to change the rubber transmission boot and the rubber gasket at the top of the outer tub. They were new around the mid 1970s I got 7 yrs of use out of them then sold them and they got about 10 yrs more use out of them. My machine sounded just like my aunt's 1959 washer.
