My A 107 Maytag works on the regular setting but the delicate and permanent press cycles only run through the first part then stop. I can then advance to the next function but it will stop again. There is likely some sort of bug in the timer, the motor seems to be working alright. Is there a way of taking the timer apart and doing something to make it run through all cycles completely?

You would be better off to just get a new timer.
