This is a very old and cool set of Maytag washer and dryer. They are a model 142. I bought them from a local customer and he said the dryer works but the washing machine needed some type or bearing so the tube would work and spin. I do not no much more than that but they are a very cool old retro set classic Maytag's. I hope some one would just want to pick it up locally or if I had to I could charge the actual price that is costs me. I just put the 500 dollar amount in there for a shipping starting point. Please let me know before you bid if you do not have at least a positive feedback score of five or better.

funny, this one was posted 2 days ago by xpanam (Thread 52944- www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/T...) .

So now it's up again, different link....I'd want these where you can see them and displayed, not hidden.

I am a bit surprised that these sold for $535, since they need to be rebuilt and the tub looks worn.  I feel kind of dumb for selling a pair I had a couple years ago.

Steve, you got a deal!

It looks like a couple of bidders were going head to head in a bidding war for these. Once that happens there's no telling where prices will go. But gee wiz, doesn't that tub look awful? I hope the buyer is able to find a replacement for it.

Very attractive colour! But they do need a rebuild job. The inside panel of the dryer door is missing too. A replacement dryer door panel and tub for the washer, should be easy to find though.
