I came home from the Pittsburgh wash-in on Saturday with a nice new washer, thanks to Martin.
It's a 1987 Filter-Flo. It may be on the lower end, but I'm just glad up finally be back using a Filter-Flo with the ramp activator.

Here are pics of it in it's new home.

3-speed combos ain't lower end.  And you have a cycle with an auto extra rinse.  Very nicely featured washer actually.

Extra Large

Those FF's are HUGE and have great turnover and rinsing. Martin is a GE FF pro, and he's right, they performn wonders.

Post some Model and Serial #s, folks here will help you find the filter pan and softener dispenser. If yours also has a mini-basket option, you gotta find one. Frankly, they don't thrill me, but others here find them very handy. And it is always good to locate all the parts and have the complete GE Filter-Flo machine.

Congratulations and enjoy!

VERY NICE Sam!!

Congrats on a fun acquisition! I hope you enjoy it --- seems like the machine came from a good gene pool, Martin/Yogi that is, aka "Dr. Filter Flo" himself.

glad you are enjoying it....when you had the top up you should have put a cable tie on the lid switch.....also, you forgot to pull the filter flo flume thru the splash shield....

unfortunately this came to me with a conversion to a one speed for some odd reason.....I didn't have enough parts to change it back for Sam.....but not that it can't be changed at a later time if he wishes....all that is needed is the two speed clutch and solenoid...I still say the one speed locks tight and kicks ass washing a load...

once you have the base unit, especially large capacity, anything is possible with these machines....the lowest water level can still be used with the mini basket....

it was also missing a filter pan, but thanks goes to JammanJoe for bringing one with him to the wash-in....otherwise the search is on for a softner dispenser.....not that it is needed or used, but nice to have all the equipment with it....

these machines never seem to die.....simple to work on as well....

yes, there are vintage JCPenney percale bed sheets in the wash.

I do have a filter pan thanks to Joe, and I also have spares from my grams old machines. I just left the pan off for photos.
I have no desire for a fabric softner dispenser as I'm anti fabric softner, however if anyone has a mini-basket I'd love one of those.

Martin, after taking the pictures I put the filter flo flume through the splash shield, and honestly never thought about the lid switch while the machine was apart

A Very Nice Gift

That one speed clutch is far more durable than the two speed clutches and will probably serve you as long as you want the washer. That is a real "Oh Hell Yes!" washer. Enjoy it in good health for a long time.

I wish my new toys were as much fun as that Filter-Flo. A single speed FF coin-op was the washer on the floor of my dorm freshman year. Had a lot of fun with it back in 1977-78. I believe it had a ramped Activator, as well.

Congrats! And once again, this pays tribute to the generosity within the AW family.
