Hello fellow AW members,
My 1994 Maytag DWU9921AAX dishwasher is in need of a new bottom rack. I've done the "wire brush and paint-over" repairs on this rack many times over the past years to try and keep it from rusting away but it's finally falling apart with tines falling off here and there and other areas severely rusting away. I found the part at an online appliance parts place but the price is $179 and that's without wheels and tines (I assume they mean the moveable tines). If anyone out there knows where I might get the COMPLETE bottom rack either NOS or lightly used and in good shape, please let me know. The dishwasher still works great and I hope to keep it for many years to come. Thanks! |

I just looked on ebay & they have about 40 lower racks for a Maytag for sale. Maybe one of those will work! |

I did find another new one on a different appliance parts site that comes with the wheels - movable tines and the clips that hold them onto the rack are additional, though.
Here are some pics of the rack - and a bit of the interior of my 20 year-old Maytag. Craigslist - I'll check eBay - I did see all the many racks but none looked exactly like mine at first glance. Now I've taken photos of it, it will be easier to compare. Thanks for the suggestions! |
