Chuck-
First off glad to see that you're happy with your LG's.

Second-
Many years ago I had the pleasure of traveling to Hawaii for a vacation with my parents and siblings. While there (Honolulu) I noticed that a good portion of residents and even some accommodations had their laundries setup outside. I noticed by the reflection from your machine that you appear to also have that same type of setup. Is that the norm in that area because of the type of climate your in? If so, doesn't it affect the lifespan of the machines? Just curious.

Have a Great Day
Rick

Yes Rick,

I would guess that at least.80% of the homes on this island, Hawaii, have their laundry, manual, gas and/or electric washing and few have automatic clothes dryers. I have had absolutely no issues with any boards of own machines and my Miele TouchTronic is going on ten years now. I found it at a local, used appliance store,Smith's and had it rebuilt free by Miele. As much as I admire THAT machine, my LGs outperform it hands down.neither of which needed new boards nor did they need new motors. The 2277 is a gem. I fill that unit to the max! I reset its water level myself and don't regret it at all. I tried earlier today to show a video but am having issues figuring out why it isn't recording and showing the dramatic splashing, tumbling, foaming and , when these suckers get into the spin mode, they purr like Camaro,my gorgeous Siamese. I'm planning on repainting my white LG set turquoise. I can drop them off at Smith's,get the acrylic paint from Home Depot, and have one of Charly's rebuilders paint it with their sprayers. I've already had them touch up my red Tromm and they did an awesome job. I only regret LGs lack of interest to make their small and large combos full power, full heat distribution as well as a gas model. That my appliance friends would make me do summersaults. I'd buy a full row of at least five. Then a park bench in front. Sound good? LOL
