Drooling over them!

Better go get the Shop Vac to clean it up. $200 is NOT too much for something like this. I paid that for all original,(save for the dryer PCB)1986 KM LTD's. They are the first DD incarnation of those in the add.

$200?

That's a set of freaking pedestals for a crappy new set of front-loaders that will last five years *.

Perspective, my friend, perspective....

* Given sufficient budget for service calls.

The machines in the beginning of this thread although they have solid state control panels look like it may possibly be one of the last of the BD machines. I say this because I've never seen a DD machine with that particular agitator in it or that type of skirt around the tub. Am I making the correct assumption?

Very Good machines, a year or two later they sold a similar pair under the Limited Edition name, that also came in Black, the LE machines had porcelain tops and better painted cabinets and came with a never before and never since 5 YEAR FULL WARRANTY on the entire machine.

I have saved a pair in black for the museum.

@ Defoedude - Hello from the other side of Missouri.  These are so worth saving!  The inside of the dryer appears to have had very little usage.   I'm going to see these this afternoon and attempt to negotiate toward purchase and you can come and get them for cost or when I come to St. Louis will bring them with me along with another members items.  If you decide against purchase, they'll be in my collection.  As I had no means of communicating with you via email or phone, am moving forward.  If you'd prefer me to not proceed, please email me at jmcwhorter@kc.rr.com  ASAP as I've tentatively set 2pm for viewing.  The owner seems legit.

Thanks

John - "oldskool"

John, go ahead and keep them, I'd rather hold out for a silver, black, or copper tone set plus I need a gas dryer anyway

Alex -

Good talking with you today.  If you change your mind, they're here.  They are a very nice set, but I understand the gas dryer thing as I formerly only had a gas connection. As discussed, I've got a gas set exactly like these in almond if you're interested.   The washer needs a pump, but otherwise the set is great.  Even the dispensers work good which on these models can sometimes have problems.  Will get some pics up for you soon.

Thanks

John
