You should be able to get a rebuilt timer from Midwest Timer Service for less than $95... My grandmother's Highlander would stop just before the rinse agitation too. Once the machine filled for rinse, the timer would hum as if it were trying to move and if you smacked the knob, it would take right off and finish the cycle normally. It was used this way for a while until the whole machine was replaced in May 1975. The Highlander was moved to the basement to wash rugs and work clothes but the timer was never repaired. |

My A608 is very similar, minus the sudz return. Any more ideas how to fix mine? If anyone has a spare I'd be glad to buy it. Bobby in Boston |
