So nice on the inside, so sloppy and unoriginal on the outside.

Considering that it would need a detailed repaint, the seller needs to move the decimal point a couple of positions to the left.

This one has been listed for a while and will continue to be until the seller brings that price tag back down from the heavens...

Another fish story..

scoots's profile picture

The seller give this "story" about the color and its origins... "This fridge was brought home the day after my father was born. The date was June 15th, 1949. It was brand new and a brilliant white color. Before it was plugged in, my grandfather custom painted it this burnt orange/crimson color with a little bit of "sparkle" to it."

I don't buy it. The paint is applied far too sloppy and has far too few scuffs to be a 60 years old. Spray painting in 1949 was a major undertaking. Looks like a casual "rattle can" job.

Not to mention I don't see this "toasty turd" color being too popular in 1949.

I normally wouldn't bother commenting, but the high price + the story are just too outlandish to pass by.

As the second pic started to download, I said to myself, "What's that - Kim Kardashian's butt?"

Look below to see what I saw - now, does that have that Hollywood spray-tanned look or WHAT?

The decimal point is in the wrong place, it should be $59.99.

People need to go to hell for painting appliances like that and then to make up that bs story to go along.

At least it doesn't have flames on it. It pisses me off everytime I see mancave this or that or beer fridge.
