Ya gotta be a Harry Potter fan...

"The modern sorceress can effortless lift the lid of the new for 1958 Whirlpool washer with just a lift of the finger. Designed by wizards and Muggles alike, the new 1958 Whirlpool will wash everything from your husband's jeans, to your wizarding robes all the way to your delicate wear"

See? I was good.

And yes, it's a Whirlpool. GIMME!

That is one of my favourite POD's Jason! That machine is just fantastic in pink. The white and gold control panel just looks stunning with the pink! Even the KM/WP "haters club" would have to admit this machine is wonderful example of a classic 1950's machine.

BTW: Gregm has this machine (in white) in his collection.

The machine on the POD is awesome! It's too bad machines today don't have force-fed recirculating lint filters. IMHO, today's underwater or passive lint filers in top loaders have more of a placebo effect than anything. Maybe even today's front loaders could benefit from the concept. Of course this is coming from someone who is a multiple species pet owner. The belt-drive WP/KM machines are second only to Frigidaire 1-18's and Unimatics on my favoirites list. Although the WP/KM belt drives had a bit of an anemic spin, they did so well in other areas that I think it more than made up for it. Besides, what true laundry machine afficionado wouldn't fall in love with that Rube Goldberg Wig-Wag mechanism?

Oh yeah

Just like when Lightedcontrols got that 58 Kenmore set. Nothing boring about those machines.
