Allen and I went to the local used building supply store, the other day. I ended up buying this and bringing it home. It is in really good shape. Going to be painting it.

and it is NICE! I doubt it had a weeks' worth use in its life. Incredibly "unused" looking inside and underneath. A very lucky find! He's gonna love this one once the avocado green goes away.

Did these BOLs heat wash/rinse water? There have been a couple on the ATL Craigslist that I have considered...

KDC-18 DW

Unfortunately this and the KDI-18 were the last two KA DWs ever made without any water heating capability. They were good simple DWs and if your water is reasonably hot and you don't try washing cookware with cooked on soil the machine can do a great cleaning job.

Great Find Justin.

Justin, are you going paint it pink and replace the non-functional Hotpoint in the kitchen?

If so that would be a great swap, at least you'd finally have a usable dishwasher!  wink

The 18 Patrician did not heat water at all nor did the 2 permanent portable front loaders, the Royal and Deluxe, the models with the slanted control panel at the top rear, but none of the 18s held the timer for water heating except in the Sanirinse. No 18 except the Superba had a water heating element.
