Hi,

I failed to see the intall instuction that said to wash two small White/Rinse cycles for a proper install. I have washed a few super size loads since I've had it.

Did I ruin anything? Should I do some type of reinstall or unplug and do this
routine of running tow small loads? What is the purpose?

I got rid of my Amanatag fo this Hotpoint here :-)

Also is it normal for the warm to be barely warm? My faucets are both open
full yet the hot comes out less. Is this an energy saving thing and regualted by the unit not my faucet being low on the hot?

I couldn't find anything in the manual

 About doing 2 small loads.

But to answer your question about the the warm temp, all I can say is welcome to the new world order of goobermint regulation of your laundry. Manufacturers have to abide by poorly thought out and asinine DOE regulations regarding water use and temp.

I'd be willing to bet your "hot" is not tap hot but somewhere less; blended with cooler incoming water. All in the name of saving mother earth.

I am sure,

 That you haven't ruined anything. The only reason I can think of you being asked to run a cycle before usage is to rinse out any old water/dust from the testing at the factory.

That's what the last 5 or so manuals on my FL have said anyway.

I can't see you having to run a load to set anything up as such, the machine washes clothes, and the ability to do that would have been done at the factory, not by running a load at your home.

I cannot help you with the temperature thing I am afraid, as our washers have internal heaters in them, so all our washers get to the temp from the machine, not the tap (faucet) we have only had cold fill machines for last 20 years or so.

As far as the hot water coming into the machine slower there is probably some type of flow restrictor on the hot water side to prevent hot water from coming into the machine so quickly and to help assist the washer in dumbing down hotter temps to cooler temps per industry regulations.

Do you remember me five years ago?

Well my Amanatag actually lasted 9 years.

The top seal went as the bottom also started pouring out a few gallons of
water on each cycle.

I figured it was a junker. I actaully had to argue and send my brother
numerous amounts of info to convince him a new one for $350 was better
than puting one cent into an Amanatag. I think the pargraph on Wikipedia,
devoted just to the Amanatag on Maytag's main Wiki page, convinced him. :-)
It basically says it and something called the Neptune ruined Maytag's name.
