I know this is probably a stupid question, but humor me if you will. :) I just acquired a Hotpoint Rimflo with the handwash agitator, and I can't get the thing off. I took off the outer agitator, took the screw out of the top (although I'm not sure if that was necessary) of the handwash agitator, and looped a belt unerneath to pull it up. It wouldn't budge. Is there something I need to know before I break it?

lol, interesting stuff. :) I ended up using a ratchet strap, axe handle, and a hammer and finally the agitator wiggled loose from the rubber spline adapter. Grr! Well I guess it's half a victory. I've been soaking it in Liquid Wrench and I even heated it with a torch but it's pretty solidly fused. If all else fails I might just take a grinder to the spline adapter and buy a new one on ebay.
