I normally don't like to spoil surprises, but it is only a few days early. Just for you, hope you like it. I just couldn't resist.

So Jimmy, I hope you like it. We'll connect soon. And yes, Mr. "S" is waiting for us. He did keep the Philcos for you.

Re: Happy Birthday:

Jimmy, that is the same Dryer that some Friends of our Family had they bought new, along with the Washer too. I always liked that Console with the Light on Top, as well as the Hooded Lights also. Maybe someone will come up with the Matched Washer for you as well.

Enjoy your very special day, when the official Day arrives, besides enjoying the Days before as well. You know that there are going to be lots of Birthday Wishers on the Club Site, with lots of Good Wishes, Warmth, Love and Hugs.

Happy Birthday, with many more to come, Steve

An educated guess at the vintage

The DA-820A is a newer version of the 1964 model: DA-820Y. I would bet that this is from 1966, 1965 the earliest.

Happy Birthday Jimmy - you certainly will have a great birthday week, a GE dryer and another Philco set too! (I stumbled upon this when searching for a Philco ad that had ended - super good luck on these!)

Congrats again!!

That is the same dryer that my Grandma had to go with her 1950 Speed Queen wringer washer.

Yes, got those Philcos last week. Was wondering if anyone was gonna check my ebay listing and see them! Ha! Thanks for the good wishes Greg, Im gonna need them with this set! They are pretty rough. They are still setting outside as I WILL NOT bring them in my workshop until they are disinfected! Yes, they came out of the worst trashiest smelliest scum of a house, well its just beyond words to describe the ordeal picking these up.........Will post pics in another link as soon as I get another bottle of Lysol for them! But all things considered I think they are gonna be a good working set.......

of Lysol will do wonders!

How do the insides look? Does it have the same style tub & agitator as the Ford Philco you restored recently? It looks to be about the same vintage as the one we striped for parts on the SD Appliance farm.
