I am going to have my KDS-18 installed today. What detergent is recommended for these machines considering that there are no longer phosphates in them? Also, what are the opinions regarding using detergent in both cups for a normally soiled load of mixed dishes that are not pre-rinsed. Should both cups always be filled?

I'm still using up a stash of old vintage Cascade (with chlorine) as well as Cascade Complete with phosphates in the KDS-22. I have also used the current formula of Finish which works well.

I always fill both cups for a normally soiled load. I never pre-rinse anything.
