I just picked up a Kitchen Aid DW from a home that was being remodeled. The owner removed the appliances and I told him I'd try to move the ones I didn't need.

Everything looked in Very Good Condition, location in North Oakland County (Metro Detroit) MI. We didn't actually talk price, but I got the DW for $50, so he's on planet earth. Email me @ chromacolor2 using yahoo.

I'll let the photos do the rest.

Another JK 29 double wall oven - with both ovens having P*7 self-cleaning!

Nice, nice unit. If it's in working condition, a great find for someone. And since it's still with an owner, you might even be able to get the elusive meat thermometer probe, broiler pan and rotisserie parts.

"You mean these funny-looking things? We never did know what they were for...."

We had the same set only in Avocado in our last house. They were installed when the home was built in 1969. I wasn't much on the cooktop, but that oven was the best we ever used. It was accurate with the temps on both ovens and would also hold temps right on the target every time.
If you don't like the coppertone, you could always have the doors refinished.

I just wanted to bump this before it fell off the page. I told the guy he did the right thing to keep them and sell (vs. dumpster) because there are "collectors" who would want them. They really are in excellent shape and coppertone is a great color with dark cabinets! DAMHIK

Cabinets?

Do they have the kitchen cabinets for sale? I have been looking for vintage kitchen cabinets for my kitchen and I live in south east Michigan. Did he say if he was selling the rest of the kitchen? Or any bathroom fixtures?

He did have the cabinets, but mentioned a buyer. To me the cabinets looked pretty bleah. Nothing-special, dark builders-grade circa 1969. The kind that always shoot the springs out of the hinges.

O.K. thanks, Carmine, on the cabinets. I couldn't, for the life of me find this thread. Is there a way to get notifications when responses come up on threads you're following? I have several threads I keep loosing track of.
