That's a KDI-15, Oct. 1964 to April 1968. Since it's in Avocado I suspect it's more towards 1968 than 1964. One wash-arm bandit. Collectable but not worth $200 to most of us here.

I won $900 on a "one-arm bandit" (actually 2) double-diamonds. Can it be converted to a slot machine? Ok...will go to my room now. :-p

Not bad looking..

..and a good parts donor for my KDS-15 but I think the price is a little steep.  Hard to tell if the racks are in good shape but those would be good to have as they are getting a little scarce.

Phil, thank you for posting this!  I've been looking for an older model KitchenAid for a while.  I finally stopped checking frequently and one local-ish to me finally popped up!

I picked her up tonight and just unloaded her into my garage.  I offered $80; $200 was just way too much.

Jason - that's great, congratulations on the lucky find. It's all about waiting, sometimes...for the ones near us. But the one I posted here was way too much. I find a number of these over-priced. People are goofsters, pricing their wares like they were held formally by Royalty or has the word Vintage glazing over their judgements. Congrats, Jason - we'll look forward to seeing your new haul, in Imperial(?).

Yeah, I threw out my offer and if they had not accepted I would have moved on.  I've still got the fridge keeping me relatively busy at the moment. laughing

The mentality these days seems to be if it's old it's worth a mint.  I try and remind people that while these appliances are indeed well built, they still are 40-50 year old machines that are not new old stock.
