I suppose calling this a Frigidaire is an acceptable mistake for a novice. Most of these I have seen seen are in ugly shape. This one looks good. In San Diego @ $300.

Is it a Hotpoint?

I used to know the different variations of Flair made by other mfg.'s...but memory is failing! Very nice shape, that--just not sure I'd like my burners laid out in a single row.

even Roper made one, it was in our present house when we bought it, and so dirty I used rubber gloves during it's removal!

This looks more like Tappan's "Fabulous 400" then a FRIGIDAIRE Flair. Either way, somebody here needs to save it. The price is a bit high but,it looks like it was well taken care of.

It's a Tappen

Top Right hand is the Tappan Font.

So it is a 400 or almost.

It's funny how a lot of these seem to have been sold around where I live. A few people I know recalled that their parents used to have a very similar Tappan when they see my Flair! I still see a few for sale but they are often in less than nice shape, the chopping block is often in bad shape on the 40" models but they also seen to have more issues with burners.

I have also seen houses who were originally built with Tappan built-ins but if the oven remains, the cooktop is usually gone. I think they didn't survive as well as Frigidaires, but they are nice-looking.

I have never seen the Hotpoint Hallmark version here. I don't think it was available in Canada.

One thing I don't like about some later-model Canadian Tappan 400 like the one above is the strange location for the fuse panel door.

See it on these pics...
