Spin-X is the only one I know of that is sold on this side of the pond. IIRC there may be another made in Pakistan, but the quality may not be that good. If capacity is not an issue, try to find a Hoover TT. The spinner basket spins at 3,300 rpms and works a treat on extracting water. Again only problem is capacity. Launderess | ||

How strong is YOUR G-force? 
Veg: I believe you have a Frig-Ge-more front-loader. .... as I do. My Pakistani play-thing did not extract much if any water from the front loader's batches.It did wonders however, on my top-loaders' goods. Also, spin speed alone does not tell the whole story. My understanding is that a cylinder with a smaller diameter has to spin much faster than one of a larger diameter to generate the same g-force and extraction. | ||

Forget those puny spin driers! If you really want to show those in your area, who is the Laundry King, get a Bock extractor off eBay. You'll need to pour several feet of concrete to bolt it into, but after that you'll be sitting pretty! *LOL* Once you have your Bock up and running, you can make some money by charging your neighbours to run their washing through. Few minutes in a Bock should bring drying time down to almost nil for some items. During the warmer months, most laundry can be strung on a clothes line and will be dry in minutes. L. | ||

You just have to pour the concrete while they're not looking:-) Or if anyone asks about the cement truck in the driveway, you can say "Yeah I saw that too. I wondered what it was doing in the neighborhood..." | ||

experience with spin dryers in europe
Spin dryers here in Europe (Bosch,Siemens, Miele, EBD) are built for 50 Hz, not just 230V. This means some serious problems in the 'States with a European currency unit, even if the inverter doesn't blow up the moment the spin cycle starts... I have used my EBD since 1983, it is pretty much OEM for all the others. Every five years or so the rubber loops the motor hangs on snap, otherwise just great. Three minutes spin time (packed carefully so nothing tears or rips) and I cut the drying time by more than half. Portable and light weight, don't understand why they fell out of favor in the 'States - I'd just do anything for that Frigidaire. Have heard mixed reports on the Haier, anyone know for sure? | ||
