I found this interesting booklet from the 1930 ish time frame? Anyway I thought someone might like the photos. Enjoy!!!!

I love to see old ephemera, especially about wringer washers! It would be great to add one of those vintage SQ wringers to my collection, but I've never seen one advertised that's in restorable condition - at least not in my neck of the woods. I'll keep searching Craigslist, though!

I've attached a pic of an advertisement from the same era.

Thanks for sharing those great photos! The Speed Queen was a very good-looking washer. Some brands from that time period aren't as stylish.

"Monel" - I haven't heard that in a while

"Monel" was a proprietary nickel alloy and was the Kat's Mee-Yow in the 30's. Very modern, and had wide application, frequently displacing the Victorian-ish brass and bronze in trim and industrial applications.
