I just loaded a GE/JCPenny service manual into the Ephemera library, thanks to Greg (gansky1).

What is great about this manual is while the machines are JCPenny, they are clearly GE Mobile Maid models from the mid and late 1960s. If anyone was looking for a GE Mobile Maid service manual, this should cover the basics.

You're right

Penncrest was just a GE with some tacky trim. HP top loading portable DWs were just GEs.

Thanks for donating this Gansky and for posting it Robert. I have an earlier version GE model and have always wanted a service manual for it. This is perfect!

Interesting that the BOL model has water heating throughout most of the cycle, but the two higher models do not heat the water at all (unless I've read the timer chart incorrectly).

Unusual that a BOL would have its own water heating properties... But if it could make up for the lack of features that higher-up machines would include, or be a substitute for provisions that would make it wash as well as a flagship model, then why not?!
