Fun picture Rich, we all should have a contest sometime to see who can make the highest sudscake!

speaking of cake

A piece of strawberry marble cheesecake would go good with the soap cakes.

Hi Mike
Yes...these 1955 Frigidaires are my babies. I got them from Greg (Gansky), who got the washer from Jimmy (Filter Flo.) So there is a lot of club history in this set. I've been home this week with a bad chest cold and doing a load in the Unimatic with Blue Cheer sure does cheer me up. :-)

Why not just have your zorch removed?

I'd never be able to trummel again

My zorch! There's nothing wrong with my zorch!!! But if I turn green, I just may have to have a zorchectomy.

Hahahahahaahahahahhahaah....oh, I needed a good laugh, Jimmy. I hate being sick and I am missing the Tuscon wash-in this weekend. I was thinking about visiting Mike in Long Beach, but this cold is a nasty one...I'll stay home and wash alone.

Just remember Rich, as long as you are there with the great company of my old Unimatic, you are never alone.........Hail Tiger!

Beautiful suds cake - a contest sounds like fun, new vs. modern detergents...could be quite a show!

Your machines look great Rich, I'm so glad you're getting so much from them!

Jimmy, how is "my" Kelvinator washer doing - still purring along? ;-)

Woohoo! Did you ever get a timer/thermostat for the dryer? I was amazed at how good that matching dryer was - so very GE looking!

Post# 119607 , Reply# 17   4/3/2006 at 09:10 (6,569 days old) by filterflo (Chicago Area)

Hi Greg, The dryer didnt need a thermostat, it needed a timer. Ive worked on it a couple of times. It works for about 3 days then quits again. The metal in the contacts is pretty brittle and wont hold the tension. It still works fine on the shorter Wash & Wear cycle so I just use that. Thanks for remembering...........

I'm starting to believe soap cakes and Mucinex will cure anything!

Get well soon, Rich!

Not sure if it's a real brand....

But I think it may have been labeled "Hunter".
