Hi Sandy, this showed up at the ReStore I volunteer at. Is this the panel you're looking for? I'm holding it for you just in case. Let me know.

That's the one!!!  I don't think I've ever seen the later KDS15 he has that has the other color combination.

Alan, are you parting this machine out?  If so, could I purchase the panels and door seal?  The panel looks to be close to sunny yellow, which would match my stove and fridge!  My KDI-15 has avocado panels, but I can't bring myself to paint them; it's a nice looking shade of green.

Hi Jason, actually the panel is a custom wood front ; you can't see the edge detail in my pic.
I did save the frames, though. If you want them they're yours (no charge except for shipping). . You can custom paint an insert. Regarding the door seal it is not usable. Severely cracked from old age; it would not stand a transplant! You can still get this seal on-line. I'm pretty sure Hobart has it, but I don't know the corresponding part #. Perhaps SteveT can assist with that info.

Door seal is NLA, isn't it?

I thought I had a conversation with someone about that once....anyway: keep everything you can keep from this unit. These are just harder and harder to find. Someone up here will surely need something (if not everything!). How are the racks?

If Hobart still makes a compatible seal, that would be awesome.  The original part is NLA.  I would love the frames/trim; the panel seriously looks like yellow enamel, I would have never guessed it was a custom wood front!  This way I can preserve the original avocado panels.

Jason, there's a gasket on eBay right now, it's item# 131352005681. Link is below.

Allen:, the racks are ok, but are fairly discolored and beginning to rust. The machine sat unused for quite sometime. Many hoses were cracked and broken, the timer was frozen, the flow thru drying fan was very stiff. I'll take a couple pictures of the racks tomorrow & post them. The motor and pump were also frozen, but if someone wants them I'll be glad to grab it. Just let me know. Unfotuntely I can't just take everything. I'm out f room and hubby won't let me keep parts for machines I don't own for "just in case" so there has to be an active search.

Jason, send me your address and I'll figure the shipping costs for the door panel frames.

Hobart Door gasket for KD10 thru 17 machines

Jason, The OEM part number for the Hobart gasket is 121030-2 and lists for 23.06.
They stopped using the blue ones many, many years ago on the commercial WM series which was KD15/16 based. It is a cream colored gasket at least the last time I saw one and they have over 150 of them in stock. They are also not the typical vinyl gasket but a more pliable material.

If you really want to do a super neat installation job on it, you may also want to purchase additional clips to secure it more neatly. The Commercial machines used a clip on almost every screw but you can just add as many as you want. That part number is 024677 and they list for 2.35 each and come in packages of 10.

If you want, you can contact your local Hobart Office to order it or go to the Hobart E-store at the link below.

Go for the Hobart one!

Jason,  that is a far cheaper alternative to the one on eBay and is the same part!!   Steve, thanks for providing the info.  I'm going to get one for myself as well!  :)

Here's a repeat of a photo I posted some time back, showing the two different panels.

At top is the Antique Gold panel seen on early machines, and possibly as a choice on later ones. This was used in '65.

At bottom is the Ye Olde Fayke Woode Graine panel. You can't really see the Woode Graine well in this shot; it just looks like dark areas. But trust me, it's Fayke. This panel was used as early as 1966, according to KitchenAid ads I've seen. However, I do not know for certain whether the woodgrain panel completely replaced the Antique Gold one, or if it was a choice that you could order.

I have a "thing" about Ye Olde Fayke Woode Graine, as you know. And I usually prefer earlier stuff to later, so there's that, too. So an Antique Gold panel will be a real pleasure.
