make sure your lid is closed.....
from the back of the machine, just above the drain hose....grab a clothes pin, and clip on as shown,....takes only seconds to put on, or take off.... easy as pie! let us know how you make out.... yours may be a Raytheon unit....in which case you would have to take the front panel off, the lid switch is located in the upper right corner......you can tape these down to work....but this is also your out of balance switch...

in my 1984 marathons,i was able to just unplug a couple wires to the lid switch behind the control panel and plug them together to operate lid up,but this did disable the out-of-balance switch as that works with the lid switch on an early marathon. |
