Hi Subpa, welcome to automaticwasher.org. It might help if you at least give the brand name of the machine you are referring to, and I assume this is a clothes dryer?

This is quite common that people leave out the brand name when it comes to appliances, which confuses me. I get emails from people quite often asking me questions like "I need part number 432q098lasjdf", without any other information.

I wonder if this is an appliance thing? Does it happen in the car world as well? Would someone ask for a car steering wheel just by an arbitrary part number without saying it's for a Ford, Chevrolet, Rolls Royce, etc?

Different country different machines. One cannot know all machines and part numbers world wide now could they. You are apparently new here and not starting out on the right foot as they would say. This is not your typical chat site.
