Hi folks,
I'm new here, just arrived surfing the net. I'm from Europe were toploading dishwasher are (and were) very rare. I never saw one for real. I used to watch the TV-series "Green acres" and was always intriged by the pink toploading dishwasher. It was a two-rack system of which the upper one was attached to the openinglid on top.Does anyone know which brand was used in the series or does anyone has pictures of it ? I'm very curious.

Hello Robert,

A really warm welcome from a long time member from the Netherlands. I think the dishwasher you are looking for is an AEG. AEG sold relabeled General Electric dishwashers in Europe. I will try and find some pictures.

Sorry, didn't read your question very well. But that dishwasher you mean was sold in Europe as an AEG.

Re: Green Acres Dishwasher:

Was a GE Top-Loader, probably around the same age time as the Program. I had a Frigidaire Top-Load Dishwasher, that had an Angeled Lid/Cabinet. It was approx at a 45-Degree {lower in front, higher in back} and the Upper Front-Half of the Rack raised with the Lid. It had a great Capacity and washed quite well.

I Sold it to a Neighbor, in a long time ago area, that needed a Dishwasher, that had a Family and Entertained to warrant the need of a Dishwasher. He used to work on Vehicles and always kept mine running well and even did Vehicle Body Work.

He took a huge Metal Shelf from a Storage Shelf Unit and Molded it into a Front-Fender for his Mid-60's Riviera and you wouldn't have believed it, if you hadn't seen him do it.

Peace and Fun Times with Top-Loader Dishwashers, Steve
