hello to all aw members around what year did general electric made wringer washers and the wringer washer in this pictures used to belong to my aunts and the strange part of this wringer washer is that the agitator kinds of is the type of agitator that where in the push to start inglis liberator washer that my grandmother had

GE made wringers for a good number of years, possibly as far back as the 20s and 30s, I believe.  In the post-war marketing rush and into the 50s, GE offered wringer machines for sure.    The washer in the photo would probably be a 50s model, but I don't know enough about the GE wringers of that era to be sure.  

 

Our family had what was claimed to be a 1952 GE wringer for a few years in the 1970s - it was intended to be used at the country home we were building in the Laurentians but which we never completed.   I remember that the wringer came in darn handy when the ol' V12 washer went bad on us in summer of 1973.

 

Even more interesting, there is a GE version of a washer with a spin-drying compartment (like the Easy models) - I am not sure when those were made, though.

The only GE wringer washer I ever saw in person belonged to my grandfather. It was from sometime in the late 40's.
