This is another rare Frigidaire service manual I just posted to Automatic Ephemera. It's for the 1961 Frigidaire Coin-op washer. The was one of the few Frigidaire washers that had a Unimatic transmission and a 27" cabinet.
If we ever find one of these machines I would definitely save the outer tub. You could change any Rollermatic washer into a Unimatic washer with this extremely rare outer tub if you wished. |

Hi Robert, Tom and I stripped a 1962 commercial FD [ pink ] washer many years ago that was very tired, I think that we saved the outer tub, I know that we also saved the 1" high steel frame that they screwed to the bottom of the 27" cabinet to allow the UMM fit into the newer cabinet design.[ you can even see this steel frame in the picture you posted at the bottom of the cabinet ]
Putting a UMM in a 60s washer was exactly what I was thinking at the time, Just think we could install a UMM in an avocado High-Fashion washer.
