.
If i was in California right now these probably would be in the back of my wagon, San Diego bound, listening to 'Ventura Highway' on the radio..

Ad copy:

Washer and dryer. Can be converted into stackable set. Can be ran gas or electric. They're european so they are a little smaller than standard washers and dryers. Stainless steel, front loaders. Brand new they're worth $4000. Just need to get rid of them cause they weren't compatible to our set up. PICK UP ONLY

In spite of what the ad copy says, they cannot be run on gas. The dryer is electric. I wonder if the energy label with the energy consumption figures for gas and electric water heating on the front of the washer was what caused the confusion.

These are very inflexible compared with the previous models like my 1918 and 1986. I had heard about the honey-comb drum being such an advance, but early users reported in the Laundry Room Forum that you could not set it for a rinse & spin or even a spin only. That convinced me to search for the last floor models of the 1900 series.

Decent washer and dryer as far as Miele goes.

But yes, very much "set and forget" units. No separate rinse and or spin cycles and very few customized options. However on the plus side these are the last of the true 120v/208v-240v Miele washing machines.
