Hey all,

Well my latest find I have wanted since the day they were released. A Zanussi IZ16S. A fantastic and innovative machine with a 15deg inclined drum and recirculatory jet and 1600rpm drum amongst others.

Here's the problem. I was told it was fully working when in actual fact the bearings are knackered. I thought my luck of late would be knocked at some point.

After some dispute they have agreed to a part refund and I will replace the bearings. Not a great first gumtree purchase.

There is a video of the one and only cycle I will run until it's repaired on my YouTube linked below

I knew these were avaible in slimline as well. A german collector once had a pretty simmilar one to yours in a slimmer depth with equally bad bearings.
Given these machines look pretty simmilar on the inside to any of the E-Lux range with that UI, changing bearings is quite a job, but do-able...

Hmm I'm hoping to find a broken XC model and replace the tub. Though I could get the bearings and a new spider if necessary.

I've had a partial refund from the seller which is something.

I went into a local spares shop that also sells machines and priced up bearings at a cost of £80. They kindly are keeping an eye out for a Zanussi in the scrap machines and will let me know!

AEG L64850L - no jetsystem...

Hello, I have an AEG L64850L lavamat which I just purchased, and only afterwards realized some AEGs have a jetsystem (concentrated stream) as opposed to simply spraying in water. Mine does not appear to have this. Does anyone know if this is something that could be changed by replacing the rubber door ring with a 'jetsystem style door ring' or is it just a different machine built with different internals that will never be able to be upgraded to include this feature. Thanks for any input :)

Romany-I have the same problem. I love jeysystem machines and I ordered a model that was supposed to have it but AEG dropped it from all models except the top 2 models. You wouldn't be able to make it happen unless you got a new pcb, pump and hosing and seal identical to a model that has it.

I recently modified my Bosch logixx (nexxt) to have the cascade fill most Bosch machines have. This was easier because it I created a splitter and ran a hose to the door seal. I need to do the same on both solenoids to make it fill through it during every stage of the programme.
