So my company has found another time capsule home and we're selling the appliances. This round we have a very nice electric stove top and gas wall oven. They are in great shape. Not sure brands. Fridge, washer and dryer have been replaced. There is no dishwasher.

The whole house is pretty sweet. If it weren't on a major road and in an area showing signs of decline (and if I could afford it), I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Original kitchen and bath. I hate to see something this amazing be torn out, but hopefully someone will save these cool appliances.

Could the range and oven be Thermadors??

The oven has L&H on it. I've never heard of them. Is that a Thermador model? I didn't see any markings on the cooktop.

L and H

Was Linderman and Hoverson, Thermador I believe bought them out, I didn't look close enough, but its basically the same.

And that is

NOT a gas wall oven!

I've never seen an element like that on an electric. Will take an inside shot next time I'm there.

Nice find!

The oven is old enough that it probably had an open coil bake element under an evenizer. The broiler element is open coil also. Is the cooktop really that dirty? Those knobs are blue Bakelite and had 7 heats for those old two tube elements. Seven heats are almost like infinite heat switches and less trouble prone, especially in the early years. You could go away and leave something simmering or leave the pressure cooker on the proper setting and not have to have a thought about an infinite switch sticking "on" and blowing up or burning the meal.

Is that rust on the hood? Is this kitchen in a cave or basement?

The kitchen needs a better light.

Not rust, just dust. I took the pictures when I was there the other night. The owners were holders, I don't think the oven was used much and I didn't get the impression that any of it had been used in a while. I'll try to get some better shots when I go back and take pictures for the rest of the sale.

Sorry for the cell pictures!

Also, if anyone is interested, make a reasonable offer. Buyer is responsible for handling shipping.

Here is the newest batch of pictures. That doesn't look like any electric element I've ever seen in the oven. I also knocked the dust on the hood. It's just cosmetic, there is a Nu-tone vent in the wall... I am unsure if that is grease or rust underneath (I didn't notice it until I posted the pictures). Neither the stove top or oven appears to have been used in a few years. The house was filled to the brim with stuff, I imagine little more was used than a microwave the several years. Make an offer, if interested!

WOW! What a Find!

OMG!!! I have an ad for that element in an old trade magazine, but have never seen one. It was a glass tube with the heating element inside it, like a sealed rod, but in glass, not stainless steel. I think that is the first one shown on the club.

If you'd like to speak to my boss about it I'll give you her number. Just don't call if you aren't serious about it.

Apparently the range was only used for 2 years, then it died. They never replaced it!
