by the looks of that lid, and handle....wouldn't this be a rare 'belt drive' version of a coin op machine?.....pricey, but interesting....

Bet that machine has been ridden REALLY hard!!!Usually commercial coin op machines are beaten to death when the laundry company gets rid of them.They change them when they are about to die. |

It looks to be in really good condition, we worked on a lot of these machines and I still know of a few still in use in small apartment houses.
These were really rugged machines and they had an extra coat of porcelain enamel on the basket and outer tub so rusting was not the problem with the commercial models like the home machines. |
