Spring will soon give way to summer and it will be here before you know it!
Here is the info: 123 Seton Rd Verona, PA 15147 Sat 12-10PM Hotels: Check Monroeville (15146) for lots of choices about 15-20 min away. For those that stayed last year in Harmar (15238)where last years meet and greet was, the Hulton Bridge will be closed that weekend so it requires a 8 mile detour to get to the house. Meet and Greet: I am checking out places in Monroeville, it will be Friday at 9pm Wash-In: Its also BYOM...Bring your own machine if you like!...the garage will be wide open, tools available with electric, gas and water hook-ups. The couch is waiting for the gang! Jerry

For searching for hotels, use 'Monroeville, PA 15146" in your searches. The hotel that would of made a great 'official hotel' is sold out that weekend. I am still looking for a place for the meet and greet. Remember, if you stayed in Harmar 15238 where last year's meet and greet was held, the bridge across the Allegheny river to the house will be closed which makes for a long detour.
See you real soon! Jerry |

According to PennDot...the Hulton Bridge will be open for the weekend of the wash in, so the hotels in Harmar (15238) wont require a long detour to get to the house. Please check them out if you are still looking for lodging...there are many choices available...the Days Inn is showing rooms for around $76 per night on daysinn.com

Would any of the attendees like some new machines in their lives?
I've got a Maytag A106S with a transmission that leaks oil (needs a new O-Ring). I've also got an almond set. Maytag LDE409 dryer in working order with an LA308 washer. The washer is missing one button and won't work properly. I haven't opened it up, but I believe it's got something stuck in the outer tub. I was told it wouldn't spin. I can also stand to re-home a DE606 in need of a new electronic control, I think. I also have Frigidaire's 1st generation gas dryer with a gas valve issue in white. Finally I have a late 1950s electric Frigidaire stainless steel wall oven with french doors in need of a thermostat rebuild. All of these can be had for the price of FREE, or whatever you might be inclined to give (I'm restoring a house, therefore I am poor, but these appliances are in my way). I can fit a maximum of 2 of these machines in my Honda Element. I may be able to fit the oven in the front seat if there are 2 machines in the back. Any takers for the Pittsburgh Wash In? Dave |

Sorry about the terrible views, it's a little hemmed in right now.
I think I shall bring this dryer and a mess of spare parts and do a full tear-down and rebuild at the Wash In, in case anyone would like to see how to service an electric Maytag Halo-of-Heat dryer. I was told this dryer doesn't run. I've got a spare door switch, I think I've got a spare electronic control, and I'm looking for my extra motor. I will bring new belts, a new front seal, a few other bits, and some Zoom Spout Turbine Oil. I don't want to bring this dryer back to Cincinnati (I already have another DE606), so a hopefully freshly rebuilt DE606 with the moisture sensor will be available. Dave |
