Dear All,

I was surprised to see the other day that the US version of Thor Automagic Magic worked slightly different to the UK version with regards to the "Suds saving" feature.

The US machines returned the suds from the laundry tub to the machine - via a "Koroseal" extension tube. What i am interested to know is was the "suds return" a mechanical process or purely suction method ? I guess the UK didnt have this option as we didn't have laundry tubs or deep enough sinks to retain 10 gallons.

Regards
Keith

Interesting Keith, from my understanding of reading

these instructions, the hose is plunged into the saved wash water whilst the previous load is still spinning, hence still pumping, so that when you switch off the machine, including the pump. the wash washer is simply siphoned back into the machine, which is lower than the sink, you then pump it back from the outer container into the wash tub and do your 2nd load. So it appears to be no different from the uk machine, just the one pump which runs continuously with the motor, it is just with our machines as with the parnal, the wash loads were done first, then all the rinsing.

Interesting though to see how the process of washing subsequent loads is adapted for british kitchens, from the american laundry methods and really two ways of achieving the same results from the same machine.
