hey there...... I was just wondering where I could buy vintage washers, and where this " Aberdeen Farm" is. can I go there and just walk around and look at the old machines, and possibly buy some??

The farm is gone.  If you want to find vintage appliances, look on Craigslist.

How vintage do you want?

Yes, Aberdeen Farm is long gone, they are all Toyota's or similar.

Appliances unlimited

There is also a place in Queensbury, NY that shows vintage appliances on their website (www.unlimitedappliances.com...)for purchase under the header "antique" but appliances are from 50s/60s/70s, etc.

That auction in November was indeed a liquidation of the vintage items they had - however, there were still a few machines (a couple of Maytag washers and dryers, IIRC plus some early GE refrigerators) left.  The website may not reflect the actual inventory anymore, though.

Keep an eye on this forum for members who are looking to sell or trade machines also.  If anything bad befalls me, Hubby has been mandated to announce items from my collection here first...

I would prefer any 60s model Frigidaire besides the 1-18., but any solid tub machine would be awesome. My great grandma had one when I was a kid with the glass window on the lid. I used to love watching that thing wash. It would be awesome if I could find one like it.

If any of you guys ever decide to sell or trade one, please let me know. I would really love to have one, it would bring back some great memories.

Rollermatic (Pete) mentioned recently that he may be selling some of his Frigidaire Rollermatic washers in the future.

I don't know if he visits this site much anymore, but you may want to try contacting him. I don't see him often, but may stop in where he works in the next few days.

I would love to, if he would be willing to sell one. Where is he located?

PM, Pete is located on the east side of Cincinnati. I'll try to stop in to see him sometime next week.

Alright..... thank you so much. My dad lives in that area so I'll see if he could go pick it up for me. If he wants to sell one. I also have a couple of maytags if yo think he might want to trade

I stopped in to see Pete a little while ago, and told him someone on here was interested in getting a Rollermatic washer. He said he's not ready to sell any of them right now, but may part with one or two sometime. I didn't talk to him long as the store he works in was pretty busy.
