For those of you in know - those who have been educated by "Fringe" you already know about the

"Other Side" !

I went there! I brought back something!

Something that was never made here- as you will see shortly...

"There are two of everything- but not everything is the SAME !!"

This machine never existed here, it was never made here. Its different...

Nice job on your Fringedaire!

Like the Jonny Cash song - bits and pieces collected
to make the perfect washer.

A wonderful pairing, Jon, but I'm off to pout a bit as Gansky beat me to the term 'Fringedaire,' LOL.

Nice, but

I did not know that a Roller-Matic transmission had the strength to operate, over the lifetime of the mechanism, a traditional three ring agitator which, with its wider diaphragm or "energy ring" at the base has greater resistance to movement through the water which causes the water to be more greatly energized.

Frigidaire Roller-Matic Washer With a Three-Ring Agitator

combo52's profile picture

Oh Jon You are late to the party again, Bob Salem gave me the exact same washer over 10 years ago with a 62 Three-Ring-Agitator, it has been my main washer in the W. Va. house, oh coarse if you had ever responded to a dozen or so invitations and visited you would have gotten to see and use this great modified machine.

When I first had this washer I also had a WO-62-2 and I liked the roller-matic so much better I gave or traded the WO-62-2 to someone else.

It also sounds like your washer could use one of my ultra-quite sound insulation packages.

OMG!  I can't believe I hadn't seen this thread until now.  That's what I get for playing with oven cleaner in the garage, I suppose...

Pretty darn cool, Jon.  I recognize the pulsator top (yes, we actually had them in Canada and I have proof) - it looks great!   Congratulations on your 'Fringedaire'!
