No speed selection, dark blue tub with 3-vent turquoise agitator--an A108SS. I'm getting picky; I want the center-dial Maytags with the blue, rather than bronze, lower bezel. When they changed the timed bleach dispenser on the 806 to a stupid bleach funnel, they lost a fan. I also loved the contrast of the small capacity model agitators--old polypropylene(?)black on the bottom, new turquoise on top. I also liked that the upper-end models sported a chrome top reminiscent of the AMP floaters. Macy's in New York city divided it's appliance department by brands in clusters like a museum. The Maytags were clustered in a square back to back so you discern different features since all the models were so similar in appearance. Classics. |
