I often wondered what the underneath and insides of my 32 year old LA 511 looked like when running since all the REAL Maytags are the same basic design.

That is one amazing video!! And I'm trying to guess the artist of the song -- doesn't quite sound like the Ray Conniff singers. Anyway, never been a huge Maytag fan, but this certainly makes me want to be one! Thanks for sharing.

I was just floored! This is by far, the very best video I have ever seen of a washer in action. The music, the editing. It was just so spot on. BRAVO!

Congratulations- Well Done!

You did an excellent job making this video. Your editing and timing couldn't have been better. Looks like a professional production.

Thanks Guys.

I will pass this along to my friend who made the video..

The Transmission scene is I think truly my favorite, but the shift to spin is also fantastic.

Yes, the timing is impeccable.

Was that music from Bob Crewe? Perhaps "Music to watch washing machines by"?

The Incredible, Indelible Maytag A-906

Loved It!!!! ( I think I "Liked" it there, too! )

Amazing to see what that touch of that one button does & how it starts the action right away...

If only 2 1/2 Men were done a decade or two earlier--maybe when on that one episode where Charlie & Allen are doing laundry, that's what they would'a used...!

Will we see the dryer next?

The Music...

toploader55's profile picture

According to my friend is by a man named Roger Webb and is titled "GoGo Girls."

When I listen to it, reminds me of being 10 years old (1965+) riding around in like a Pontiac Bonneville Convertible with my Dad going for Ice Cream.  HaHa.

Yes, the music is definitely from that era.

It seemed like  everything from that era was gaining as far as manufacturing of solid appliances.  This seemed to be the pinnacle of appliances and manufacturing just before the down hill spiral of corporate buy outs, mergers and acquisitions that cheapened everything up and began "Dispenser Box Appliances and Cars".

"Use once, and throw it away".

Those old machines are just gorgeous! Why don't they make them like they used to?...I know I know, stupid question. Things had style back then. What I wouldn't give to have a big climate controlled out-building where I could rescue and restore things like these. Two more years and the house is paid for.....hmmmmm.

Eddie, thanks for passing that along! As someone that occasionally throws together videos, I can't imagine the amount of editing and syncing your friend had to do to pull that off. BRAVO!

Im not a fan of Maytags....BUT!

This was FANTASTIC!!!! Maytags wash fine if you load them correctly, you cant fill them full like a Norge or Frigidaire..About 3/4 of a tub full of clothes is enough.
