Someone really ought to rein in how the US military spends....
It is wicked when you come to think about it. A NIB unit that cost thousands just given away to a local government. They in turn left it sat sitting outdoors to rot and ruin then finally sold it off for pennies on the dollar most likely. |

Related to this somewhat, I finally got to see the mystery commercial front load machine at hubby's school, in the pool locker room, wash our comforter. It's a unimac machine made by the Raytheon corp. almost identical to the wascomat machines in an eBay link under the one for that navy machine, which would be a great thing to have to open a commercial laundromat with.. ;) so the unimac was cool very capable, smooth and powerful, and free to use! The drain poured out directly into a step down area in the floor slab behind it, quite a bit of water rushed out from the drain cycle.
Was fun to finally get to see where hubby does what he does after all these years ;) |

One thing that amazes me is how there are people out there who yell loudly about "government waste," and yet many of these people never see any waste in military spending, and, in fact, may suggest there should be more spending... Somehow I have trouble understanding the logic here. |
