Whirlpool ZEN Direct Drive technology. 66dB when spinning. According to the Trade Marketing Manager in the NL this motor is the Tesla among washing machines.

These have been sold here for about a month. There are new washers and dryers. The motor comes with a "lifetime" guarantee (that's 20 years). There will be a 12 kg model rated A-60% on the six hour Eco cycle. These have a bunch of extra cycles, dosage assist and even a warm rinse setting.

Love the control panel interface. Wonder if a U.S. Refresh will bring similar styling.

New cotton cycle

I like the new once as well.

Howeveer, the 40°C not label cycle takes 3:30h, or 2:20 with short selected. A bit long for my taste.

I was wondering when WP would get around to "refreshing" the control panels on their FLer to correspond with the new style panels on the Cabrio that are very sleek and oriented to the idea of "what do you want to wash and how do you want to wash it?"

They look very very nice indeed.
I do like how they've got a wide range of programmes, but for the non energy label cycles to still be so long, makes me think that probably even them aren't going to reach full temperature. why do we need such long washes? Most people choose 1hr washes anyway, surely manufacturers would realise this and develop shorter washers, not longer.
Atleast Hotpoint have done so with there new Ultima's, they've now a non Energy Cotton wash which takes just under 2hrs, and with T/Saver possibly an hour, or less.
