The 'Power Clean' looks like the same wash system as my KM 'Ultra Wash' that I installed in the new and as yet unlived in house. I paid $40 for it at Habitat Store and installed a new soap door. |

Tower of Power is the Power Clean. The other is an Ultra Wash, without the tower.
Now Martin, I'm just messin' with you! :-) LOL! Thanks for the clarification. Got a question - has there been a decrease in hp in American dishwashers, that being marked (?) by the discontinuation of the 1/3 hp motor? And isn't a 1/2 hp, given a supporting system that works well, equally capable of doing what the formerly manufactured 1/3 hp WP or Maytag units accomplished? I read a thread where John L mentioned, in 2010, that these 1/3hp motors were being discontinued. Five years is a long time in manufacturing, so were these 1/3 hp units(Maytag and WP and maybe another brand) replaced, eventually, with equally efficient, capable, and "powerful" units? Anyways, there's plenty of dishwashers that seem to have additional features to clean, as some of the new Whirlpools, but whether they last is another story. |
